A tent with the best seat on the hill.

Sixteen feet of canvas, perched on the hilltop, pointed at the sky.

The tents

Stargazer tents, up top.

Most sit right on the hilltop or perched just below the line of it — the spots we'd pick for ourselves. Sixteen feet across, real beds, canvas enough to hear the rain, and a ceiling panel aimed straight up for when the lights go out.

  • Cedar outdoor shower, a short walk away
  • Toilet house nearby — real plumbing, no apologies needed
  • Fire pit runs the evening program

After dark

The sky does the rest.

Fireflies work the pond on the ridge at dusk while the frogs around it handle the soundtrack. Later it's the real show: that's Orion in the photo — and this summer only, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury chase the sun down behind the West Ridge while the moon rises in the east.
